A perfect day to change the rest of your life

Today is a perfect day to change the rest of your life. The Word of God declares that we should let the same mind that was in Christ be in us. This tells me that having the mind of Christ is possible. We were created to create. We can create negative or positive thoughts, good or bad circumstances, scarcity or prosperity. We can chose today to create change. Christ created love, life, light, prosperity where ever he went. He lacked nothing. He spoke things into existence. He spoke life when there was none(Lazarus).  He called food into existence( five loaves, 2 fish). He gave hope to the hopeless ( woman caught in adultery). He literally created these possibilities. He pulled them from the spirit world into this earthly realm through the power of thought. He said it. He believed it. He received it. That simple!! You and I have that same power to create!! I encourage you to use your power
today!! Create your day, recreate your life. Make a change. Part of my creation is to be in the house of prayer on time tonight. I'm excited about giving praise for a mind, the ability to create. I am excited about learning even more how to create. I can't wait for the lesson tonight. So much to learn. So much to do. Blessings and Love to you all.  #creating my day

Choices...

 "A soft answer turneth away wrath, but grievous words stirreth up anger."

Yesterday, I intentionally  practiced this word. I had a student who was very rude and disrespectful in her correspondence after she had been cited for an error. I had a right to use authority, or better yet, let her grade reflect her attitude. But I had to ask myself, do I want to prove that I'm the professor with authority, or do I want to help this student learn.?

I decided on the latter. I took time to explain her infraction, and explained that her attitude was getting her nowhere. I further explained that  she could let this situation affect her negatively or she could learn the lesson from the opportunity I was giving her. Before, it was over the student apologized more than three times for her behavior. I learned that being and doing  Gods word is intentional. Its not easy(only because we haven't practiced enough), , but the end results are beautiful!!

A Word of Encouragement to Parents

Just a word of encouragement to parents and those praying for loved ones. No matter how much we think we can run things and do a better job than God. Ultimately, he is in complete control. He has not lost control. Nothing happens in our lives that he does not know about. I am a living witness of God's grace and everlasting mercy. While, I grew up in the truth, I still made some  bad choices in life. Why? Because, I had my own path, my own journey. My journey, with all of its ups and downs, bad choices and all, has gotten me to this place today, where my soul has become a priority. Many church folks looked at me and scoffed in self righteousness, when I was in my mess. But God knew that when he hissed for me I would surrender and give it all to him...mess and all

...today, I am grateful for my mess because I can relate to others mess. I can have compassion and not sit in  judgment. I can love and pray for and pray with and know in my heart of hearts, that it takes all of that to get us to where God always envisioned us to be.

Be encouraged!! In all of my mess I yet belonged to God and he had a plan and purpose for my life.

The journey is beautiful!! Embrace it, even if its not the road you would have put them on.

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid.

On Sunday in our meeting Pastor gave  this beautiful word. It really hit home this morning as I was walking and a Shirley Caesar song came on and in normal Shirley fashion, she was telling a story. She told the story about a man who had been 50 years serving the Lord, and how he still came to service with his cane, weary, and sometimes barely making it but he came .The point of the story was he made his journey, step by step. But, what came to my mind was my Pastor, who has accomplished that same achievement.

This Year, February 28, 2014 he celebrated 50 years serving Christ. He is 75 years old and no cane, no walking stick, his eyes are not dim, neither is his face abase, he's not weary, nor is he worn, and he's yet going strong...50+ years strong serving the Lord!!! He has and continues to endure in Christ strength. He acknowledges  God in all endeavors.  He puts Christ first in everything.

It came clear to me this morning that truly I can do all things thru Christ which strengthens me. I must make it a habit of acknowledging him in all things. If I acknowledge him in the calm surely he will be standing waiting on my call in the storm!!!
